Three arrested for running sex, drugs racket in Bhopal
Bhopal, Feb. 25 -- At least six people were booked and three were arrested for allegedly running a sex and drug racket in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, following complaints filed by two women, police said on Tuesday, adding that the other three are absconding.
Out of the three arrested people, two are sisters, identified as Afreen (32) and Amreen (28).
The man, Amreen's alleged boyfriend Chandan Yadav, has also been arrested.
The action was taken after a 21-year-old woman from Chhattisgarh and a 30-year-old woman from Bhopal approached the police on Sunday, alleging that they were lured with job opportunities and accommodation, and then raped by multiple people after being given drugs in Bhopal, Mumbai and Gujarat.
