New Delhi, Jan. 26 -- The Capital on Sunday experienced blue skies and bright sunshine in the day as strong northwesterly winds on Sunday kept the air quality index (AQI) in "moderate" for a second consecutive day. The 24-hour average AQI recorded a 4pm reading of 153, an improvement from Saturday's 4pm reading of 193 and some of the cleanest January air in Delhi in four years, as per data by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). However, forecast by the Centre's Air Quality Early Warning System (EWS) for Delhi, shows the AQI is likely to dip to "poor" on Monday, before returning to "moderate" by Wednesday.
