New Delhi, Feb. 6 -- Bharat Taxi, the country's first raid-hailing service based on a cooperative model, will give full ownership to drivers with a unique model where profits and 100% commissions will be shared, Union home and cooperation Amit Shah said, launching the service on Thursday. The Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited, which owns the service, aims at establishing a "sustainable and democratic taxi service" which will be owned and operated by drivers. It is registered under a Multi state Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 and jointly promoted by NCDC, IFFCO, GCMMF(AMUL), KRIBHCO, NAFED, NABARD, NDDB and NCEL.
