Jaipur, Feb. 16 -- BJP government is planning to introduce a dress code for teachers in state's schools, officials familiar with the matter said on Saturday.
An official from the office of state education minister Madan Dilawar said, "The minister is serious about ensuring a positive environment for the students in the classrooms so that they learn proper values and cultures in life. As part of this, the department is planning to implement a uniform dress code for all school teachers so that they don't arrive in the premises with any casual outfit that also often leaves a bad impact on students."The plan for a dress code comes months after Dilawar sparked controversial remarks on teachers' attire being a bad influence on students.
