New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- Growth in India's services sector picked up pace in January as faster expansion in new business and output lifted overall activity at the start of 2026, according to the HSBC India services PMI released by S&P Global on Wednesday. With manufacturing activity also picking up pace in January, the composite PMI of manufacturing and services also increased compared to December. The seasonally adjusted HSBC India Services PMI Business Activity Index rose to a two-month high of 58.5 in January, up from 58.0 in December.
