Nasscom backs hybrid work to cut energy use
New Delhi, May 12 -- Indian technology companies have been adopting prudent management measures, including enabling remote or hybrid work, information technology (IT) industry body Nasscom said on Monday, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens and businesses to revive 'Covid-era' Work From Home (WFH) and virtual meeting arrangements to help the country combat the global energy crisis.
"In light of the ongoing Middle East tensions, companies have adopted prudent energy management measures across campuses, including optimising non-essential consumption, rationalising select facility services, and enabling remote or hybrid work where operationally appropriate to reduce overall energy usage and commuting," Nasscom said.
