Mumbai, Jan. 16 -- Exit polls predicted a clear sweep for the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in the Brihanmumbai Corporation (BMC) polls held on Thursday, with the Opposition Shiv Sena (UBT)-MNS tieup failing to stop the ruling partners from taking control of India's richest civic body. Pollsters, including Axis My India, DV Research, Saam TV, Jubilant Data Studio (JDS), and JVC, projected the BJP-Shiv Sena to win the elections. According to Axis My India, BJP-Shiv Sena will win 131-151 seats in the elections. The Shiv Sena (UBT)-MNS alliance, meanwhile, will have to suffice with 58-68 seats; the Congress-VBA alliance will get a meagre 12-16 seats while others, which comprise Independents and smaller parties such as the NCP, AIMIM and the Left part...
