Moitra moves HC over pet dog's interim custody
New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) lawmaker Mahua Moitra on Thursday challenged before the Delhi high court a lower court's order that denied her interim custody of Henry, a Rottweiler, for 10 days every month.
A bench of justice Manoj Kumar Ohri issued notice to Moitra's former partner, lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai and sought his response. Dehadrai, who appeared before the court in person, said Moitra's plea should be dismissed in limine (at the beginning). The court posted the matter for hearing on April 29.
Earlier, the Saket court in Delhi rejected Moitra's plea for Henry's interim custody for 10 days every month on November 10, 2025. She challenged that order before the high court, terming the judgment "bad in law and fact". S...
