New Delhi, March 20 -- India will adapt to even higher rates of warming, a climate scientist said at a conference organised by Union environment ministry in partnership with the Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute and the Salata Institute For Climate and Sustainability at the Harvard University on Wednesday.

Minister of state for environment Kirti Vardhan Singh, who inaugurated the four-day conference on Wednesday, said, "This gathering marks a defining moment in our collective pursuit of a sustainable tomorrow."
