Karnal, Feb. 5 -- The Haryana Police on Tuesday registered an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal over his remarks accusing Haryana of supplying polluted water to Delhi.
The case was filed at Shahabad police station in Kurukshetra following a complaint by local advocate Jagmohan Manchanda.
Kejriwal has been booked under Sections 192 (provocation with intent to cause riot), 196(1) (promoting hatred), 197(1), 248(a) (false charge), and 299 (outraging religious beliefs) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
This case was registered after a local court in Sonepat on January 29 issued notice to Kejriwal over the same remarks.
