New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered a halt on any further exhumation of bodies of tribal Christians in Chhattisgarh villages after a petition alleged that some unidentified people along with police are digging up graves where Christians have been buried and relocating them to far away graveyards. Issuing notice on a petition filed by Chhattisgarh Association for Justice and Equality and other social activists in the state, a bench of justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria said, "In the meantime, no further exhumation of buried bodies shall be undertaken."
