ghaziabad, Feb. 4 -- Police in Ghaziabad arrested five men on Tuesday, including a 38-year-old man for allegedly orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot against his wife, whom he suspected of having an affair with a neighbour. The victim, Sanjana Kumar, 35, was shot in the back on January 25 while riding pillion on a motorcycle driven by her husband, Hari Shankar. The attack was the second attempt on her life in a month. According to assistant commissioner of police Gyan Prakash Rai, Shankar had suspected his wife of infidelity for over a year and frequently argued with her.
