Delhi sees its hottest Jan day in 7 years
India, Jan. 23 -- Delhi was unusually warm on Thursday, with the maximum temperature clocking 27.1degC - seven degrees above normal for this time of the year and the highest for the city in January in seven years. The last time it was higher was 28.7degC on January 21, 2019, according to weather department's data. The minimum temperature stood at 6.3degC, a degree below normal. According to experts, consistent warm easterly winds and clear skies contributed to a fairly warm day. However, the maximum is likely to dip from Friday, and the "city may see some rain activity," said Mahesh Palawat, vice president at Skymet.
