Cyber slavery: CBI conducts raids across 9 locations; 1 held
New Delhi, May 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out searches at nine locations across Mumbai, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, and arrested one person, in its probe into an organised network of agents engaged in trafficking Indian nationals to South-East Asian countries under the pretext of overseas job opportunities, the agency said on Wednesday.
The CBI spokesperson said that an individual has also been arrested following the raids for his role in facilitating the trafficking.
