GUWAHATI, May 6 -- Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday said the Congress could not guess the pulse of the people, which led to the party's loss in the assembly election in the state. He further said the Congress was hoping to form the next government with support of BJP allies and even had plans to take party MLAs to Karnataka in a chartered flight to ensure they don't switch sides. "Congress was hoping for a win based on the outcome of an exit poll in an Assamese news channel, which showed that the party had 50% chance of victory.
