New Delhi, April 25 -- The Trade and Taxes Department has transferred a total of 162 officers and employees, including three assistant commissioners after chief minister Rekha Gupta directed an administrative overhaul.
The CM's direction followed a surprise inspection earlier this month when she noticed lapses in the functioning.
During the inspection, CM Gupta mandated biometric attendance and directed that show-cause notices be issued to those found absent. The reshuffle includes 58 Grade-I Section Officers, 22 Grade-II Assistant Section Officers, 74 Grade-III Senior Assistants and 5 Grade-IV Junior Assistants.htc
