CBI arrests two RCOM senior executives
New Delhi, April 21 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested two senior executives-D. Vishwanath and Anil Kalya-of Reliance Communications Ltd (RCOM), the agency said in a statement.
The action has been taken in a case against RCOM, industrialist Anil Ambani and others, which was filed on the complaint of State Bank of India. The CBI said it is alleged that the bank had sanctioned credit facilities to the accused company but due to the fraudulent activities of the accused borrowers, the bank had to suffer a wrongful loss of around Rs.2,929.05 crore.
