New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- The Delhi government will launch a non invasive anaemia screening pilot to assess prevalence, trends and the "cost effectiveness, rapidity and overall utility" of the technology, officials said. National Family Health Survey (NFHS) 5 shows 50.6 percent of women and 66.1% of children have anaemia. Health minister Pankaj Singh said the burden remains "high despite multiple initiatives". The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) validated device uses optical spectroscopy and AI, delivers results in sixty seconds and claims 93 percent accuracy, officials said.
