Bomb explodes near airport in Imphal, KCP claims responsibility
IMPHAL, May 4 -- A bomb exploded on Sunday near Imphal international airport premises in Manipur's Imphal West district, officials said, adding that the explosion took place close to a Territorial Army camp, located near the airport. No casualties were reported.
Based on a CCTV footage, officials said an unknown individual at around 11.34 am planted the bomb near a crematorium located around 1 km from the main gate of the Territorial Army camp.
Officials said the person was later seen fleeing towards Bishnupur along the Tiddim road in a scooter.
