New Delhi, April 11 -- Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Nabin on Friday chaired a meeting of state unit presidents and key national and state office bearers to draw up the contours of an outreach on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam or the women's reservation bill that will be taken up during the upcoming session of Parliament, starting April 16. A party functionary said the outreach is intended to outline the BJP's pro-women policies and administrative interventions such as the Ujjwala Yojana, financial aid to women of a particular financial demographic and political empowerment through the implementation of quotas. The outreach comes at a time when the opposition has questioned the timing of tabling the bills amid state polls.
