BJP-led Mahayuti likely to bag 6 of 7 Maha seats
MUMBAI, Feb. 19 -- With numbers firmly stacked in its favour, the BJP-led ruling Mahayuti is all set to win six of the seven Rajya Sabha seats that will go to biennial polls on March 16, while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) can send one candidate to the Upper House if the coalition puts up a united fight.
Overall, the BJP-led grouping is set to gain three seats as only three of the seven outgoing members are from the ruling alliance. On the other hand, the MVA is likely to suffer a loss of at least three seats - if it manages to keep its house in order and win one seat next month -having accounted for four of the seven outgoing members.
