India, Jan. 16 -- Two days after a Danish shuttler complained of birds and bird droppings, bird droppings on Thursday halted a men's singles India Open match twice, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. The incident happed during a match between India's HS Prannoy and former world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore. "It was bird shit which kind of halted the game," Prannoy said. Loh also complained about pollution, saying his "stamina has dropped". While the Badminton World Federation acknowledged that haze and cold weather were affecting air quality, it said the current venue offers improved infrastructure.P20
