Agra, Jan. 14 -- A 20-year-old diploma student at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) allegedly died by suicide, police said on Tuesday, adding that the woman had called her brother and father to inform them of taking the extreme step.
According to university officials, the deceased was a final-year diploma student at AMU Women's Polytechnic from Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district. "The student had spoken to her brother in Azamgarh before making a video call to her Saudi Arabia-based father around 8pm on Monday during which she allegedly expressed her intention to take the extreme step," AMU proctor Mohd Wasim Ali said.htc
