4 assam workers found dead in k'taka, himanta seeks probe
Bengaluru/silchar, Feb. 1 -- Four workers from Assam were found dead in their rented accommodation in Bengaluru Rural district of Karnataka on Saturday, police said, suspecting it to be a case of asphyxiation.
The four men were staying in a rented room with another friend in Hoskote taluk and all five were employed at a warehouse, police said.
On Saturday morning, one of the roommates raised an alert after no response came to his repeated knocks on the door, police said. Bengaluru Rural SP MV Chandra Kanth said, "Prima facie, it looks like a case of suffocation. The workers had cooked food late at night with the doors and windows completely shut."
