Rudrapur/Haldwani, Jan. 13 -- At least 26 people, including six women, were booked for the alleged abetment to suicide and cheating that led to a 39-year-old farmer taking his life in a hotel of Gaulapar under Kathgodam police station in Nainital district on Sunday, police said. The case was registered in ITI police station of Kashipur on Monday on the complaint of the deceased's brother, they added. Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Udham Singh Nagar Manikant Mishra has also suspended two sub-inspectors, including the in-charge of ITI po lice station in Kashipur, for alleged negligence in the matter.
