'Yunus kept me palace prisoner for 18 months'
New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin has accused ex-chief adviser Muhmmad Yunus and his 18-month interim government as a period of harrowing "palace imprisonment".
In an explosive interview to Bangladesh's Bengali daily Kaler Kantho, Shahabuddin has alleged that Yunus tried to remove him from the post in an unconstitutional manner.
He claimed that there was a systematic attempt to sideline him and strip him of his constitutional powers.
