India, Dec. 4 -- An India-manufactured Hyundai Grand i10 meant for African markets has received a zero-star safety rating in the latest Global NCAP crash test results. The hatchback scored zero stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for child occupant protection. In terms of points, the car recorded 0 out of 34 for adult safety and 28.57 out of 49 for child occupant protection.

Global NCAP stated that while the car achieved moderate results for child safety, adult occupant protection was found to be extremely poor, with a high risk of life-threatening injuries during crashes.
