'govt trying to suppress voices of oppn leaders'
NEW DELHI, Feb. 6 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge lashed out at the Narendra Modi government for "being determined to suppress the voices of Opposition leaders".
Talking to the media after Opposition MPs staged a walkout during PM Modi's reply in the Rajya Sabha, Kharge said "The ruling side was deliberately preventing Opposition leaders from speaking in both Houses of Parliament. He claimed, "Neither Leaders of the Opposition was given an opportunity to present the Opposition's views."
Countering the BJP's narrative, Kharge said the Opposition would have listened to the PM if Rahul Gandhi was allowed to speak.
