Goa, April 17 -- Leader of the Opposition, Yuri Alemao, has strongly criticized Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant for treating a major drug seizure in Goa as an "achievement." Alemao questioned the logic behind celebrating the interception of a INR 43 crore drug consignment, arguing that such large-scale trafficking through Goan borders points to deeper systemic failures rather than success stories.
Speaking out, Alemao said, "What guarantee is there that the value is only INR 43 crore? The drug situation in Goa is spiraling out of control. When I raised this issue in the Assembly, I asked the Chief Minister-who is Goa's Pablo Escobar?"
