Dehradun, Dec. 2 -- The tenure of Utpal Kumar Singh has again been extended as Secretary General of Lok Sabha by one year with effect from today. His previous extension expired yesterday (30 November, 2024). A 1986 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand Cadre, he had retired as Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand before being reappointed as Secretary General of Lok Sabha by Modi Government.
With this extension, Singh will be completing an impressive five-year tenure in the esteemed role by 30 November, 2025.
