Monrovia, March 5 -- President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Tuesday urged government officials to serve with the fear of God and work in the best interest of Liberia. He made the statement at the Executive Mansion during the commissioning of several government officials, including diplomats heading for foreign missions.

In his remarks, President Boakai emphasized that those taking public office are working for the Liberian people, not for him personally.
"Once you take a public office, you are not working for me, it is the Liberian people you are working for," he said. "You are working for not just the people in Monrovia, but for Liberians all across the country."
