The actor had been admitted to the hospital two weeks before after complaints of breathing difficulty and was shifted to the ICU after his health deteriorated. The Bobby actor who had been ailing from the disease from the last two years and his family confirmed his passing with a statement that said that he was determined to live life to the fullest even while battling the deadly disease.
The statement read: "Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last."
