Birendranagar, Jan. 9 -- Two people were killed and four others injured in a jeep accident in Jajarkot on Friday morning.

The accident occurred at around 11 am on the inner road section at Baharnakhola of Chhedagad Municipality-8, when a jeep travelling from Pajaru of Chhedagad-9 towards Thalaha met with an accident.

Inspector Sudhir Kumar Khadka of District Police Office, Jajarkot, said that the jeep plunged about 150 metres off the road allegedly after its brakes failed, killing two passengers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as 70-year-old Nandakla Adhikari and 28-year-old Raju Adhikari, both from Pajaru, Chhedagad-9.

The four others injured in the incident are reported to be in moderate condition.
