Kathmandu, Oct. 30 -- On October 29, Hyatt Place Kathmandu kicked off its weeklong food festival, 'Lost Cuisines of Nepal'. The festival, which focuses on highlighting Nepal's indigenous cuisines, has been organised by the Kathmandu-based hotel in collaboration with Raithane-an establishment known for championing traditional ingredients and dishes.

The food festival is being hosted at Zing-World of Flavours, Hyatt Place Kathmandu's multi-cuisine restaurant. From phalgi, winter stew prepared using young green maize by the Sherpa community, to tauruwa, a Maithili/Tharu delicacy of vegetables deep fried in chickpea or rice flour batter, the festival features little-known delicacies from communities across the country.
