Jammu, July 13 -- Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today came down heavily on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his controversial remarks equating the July 13, 1931 incident in Kashmir with the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, calling it an outrageous comparison and a deliberate attempt to rewrite history for political gain.

Reacting sharply to Omar Abdullah's tweet, the BJP stalwart said, "Omar Abdullah's statement lacks wisdom and responsibility.
