Poonch, Feb. 12 -- The Indian Army alongside its mission to combat terrorism and secure the nation's borders, has embarked on an initiative to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its connection to narco-terrorism. The increasing influx of drugs via the Line of Control from Pakistan has led to a rising drug addiction problem, particularly among the youth of Poonch district.

To tackle this issue, the Thundering Thirty-Nine Brigade conducted an impactful lecture on drug abuse and narco-terrorism at the Dak Bunglow in Loran.

The session, which saw participation from thousands of local youth, focused on identifying the symptoms of drug addiction and ways to overcome it.
