India, Jan. 20 -- Zinc prices eased in futures trade on Tuesday as participants cut their positions amid negative cues from the physical market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery declined by 35 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 317.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 3,279 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market, which prompted speculators to trim exposure, putting pressure on zinc prices during the session.
