India, March 30 -- Zinc futures inched higher on Monday, gaining Rs 2.25 to Rs 317.60 per kg, supported by improved demand in the physical market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery increased by 0.71% with a turnover of 771 lots.

Market participants attributed the rise to fresh buying activity, as traders built positions amid positive demand trends.
