India, Feb. 12 -- Zinc prices rose by Rs 2 to Rs 334.60 per kg in futures trade on Thursday, supported by selective buying at lower levels despite subdued market sentiment.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), zinc contracts for March delivery advanced Rs 2, or 0.6 per cent, to Rs 334.60 per kg, with a turnover of 428 lots.

Market participants said the marginal uptick was driven by limited buying interest, even as the absence of fresh triggers kept overall sentiment cautious.
