India, Jan. 29 -- Zinc prices inched up on Thursday, with futures rising Rs 11.60 to Rs 346 per kg, as traders resorted to selective buying at lower levels amid the absence of fresh market triggers.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for February delivery gained Rs 11.60, or 3.47 per cent, to Rs 346 per kg, with a trading volume of 4,393 lots.
Market participants said the uptick was supported by limited buying at lower price levels, although the lack of fresh cues kept overall sentiment cautious.
