India, Jan. 14 -- Zinc prices in the futures market rose marginally on Wednesday, gaining Rs 3.75 to Rs 317.85 per kg, as traders indulged in limited buying at lower levels, even as the absence of fresh triggers kept sentiment cautious.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery edged up by Rs 3.75, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 317.85 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 2,164 lots.

Market participants said the slight uptick in zinc futures was supported by select demand, although overall trading activity remained subdued due to a lack of strong market cues.
