India, Feb. 5 -- Zinc prices declined in futures trade on Thursday as speculators pared their positions, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, zinc contracts for March delivery slipped Rs 2.60, or 0.8%, to Rs 322.70 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 63 lots.
Analysts said reduced demand from consuming industries in the physical market prompted traders to trim positions, weighing on overall zinc prices.
