India, Feb. 6 -- Zappfresh (DSM Fresh Foods Ltd.) on Friday announced its entry into the frozen vegetarian snacks category with the launch of Meevaa Foods, as part of its strategy to expand into the ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods space. The company has earmarked an investment of around ?10 crore over the next two to three years to scale up its frozen food operations, strengthen processing infrastructure, and expand its product portfolio.
The company has launched a pilot range of 12 frozen products and plans to add new offerings every quarter based on consumer response and category growth. The frozen food range will be available in Delhi NCR from February 9, followed by Mumbai and Bengaluru starting March 1.
