India, Jan. 19 -- Silver futures surged past Rs 3 lakh per kg for the first time on Monday, driven by strong investor demand and a global rally in precious metals.
On the MCX, March silver futures jumped Rs 13,553 (4.71%) to a record Rs 3,01,315 per kg.
Over the last week, silver has rallied nearly 14%, gaining about Rs 35,037.
