India, Jan. 27 -- The rupee rebounded from its record low and strengthened by 10 paise to trade at 91.80 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday, supported by a pullback in the dollar index from elevated levels.

Forex dealers said the local currency recovered modestly as traders moved to cover positions amid broad-based dollar weakness.

At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 91.80 against the greenback, higher than its previous close.
