India, Feb. 17 -- The rupee strengthened by 1 paisa to 90.73 against the US dollar in early Tuesday trading, supported by a decline in global crude oil prices.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the domestic currency opened at 90.72 per dollar and later eased slightly to 90.73, marking a 1 paisa gain over its previous close. However, forex traders noted that gains were limited due to a stronger greenback and continued foreign institutional investor (FII) outflows.
