India, April 20 -- The Reserve Bank of India has extended the regulatory restrictions imposed on The Konark Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. for an additional three months, from April 23, 2026 to July 23, 2026.
These directions were originally issued under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 in April 2024 and have been periodically extended since then. The central bank said the continuation is necessary in the public interest and will remain subject to further review.
The RBI also clarified that this extension should not be interpreted as an indication of satisfaction with the bank's financial health. All other conditions under the existing directives remain unchanged.
