India, Jan. 14 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Wednesday said it has launched a pilot project to provide real-time stray cattle safety alerts on National Highways, aimed at reducing road accidents caused by sudden cattle movement.
The state-owned highways authority said the pilot is being implemented on two key corridors — the Jaipur–Agra and Jaipur–Rewari National Highway stretches.
As part of the initiative, Reliance Jio has upgraded its digital platform to enable the nationwide dissemination of real-time safety alerts, supporting timely warnings to road users and enhancing overall highway safety.
