India, May 4 -- Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited has successfully commissioned its second pellet plant with a capacity of 4 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) at Konsari, Maharashtra, completing the project in a record 16 months.

With this addition, the company's total pellet production capacity at Konsari has doubled to 8 MTPA. The existing 4 MTPA plant is already operating at full capacity.

The facility sources raw material from the company's captive iron ore mines at Surjagarh in Gadchiroli, transported through an 85-kilometre slurry pipeline commissioned in June 2025. The low-alumina content of the ore enables the production of premium-grade pellets catering to both domestic and export markets.
