India, March 17 -- Guar seed prices declined by Rs 18 to Rs 5,446 per quintal in futures trade on Tuesday, weighed down by ample supplies in the market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, April delivery contracts fell Rs 18, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 5,446 per quintal, with an open interest of 52,615 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline in prices to increased arrivals from key producing regions, which put pressure on the commodity.
